Social Survival Tips
First impressions are lasting impressions so it's important to create the right impression when you walk into a room full of strangers for the first time. You want people to notice you, don't you? So, remember to walk with confidence. Don't look at the ground. Make sure that your posture is good and that your back is straight.
Be firm
When you are introduced to someone, make eye contact, smile and shake hands. Make sure that your handshake is firm - there's nothing worse than a clammy, limp handshake - the imprint certainly stays with you for a long time.
Don't wait
If you don't know anyone, don't just stand in the corner like a wallflower. Get out there and make the first move. There may well be other people who are just as nervous as you are and once you've broken the ice you'll find it easier to move on and talk to someone else.
Find something to say
So, now that you've been introduced to someone (or you've introduced yourself to someone), what do you talk about? Even if you are painfully shy or lacking in self-confidence, you have to be able to make conversation. You have to engage in the art of "small talk". Clearly if you're attending a business conversation you will have your working environment in common, but if you're at a social function, then the guestd may come from very different walks of life.
Choose wisely
Steer clear of personal topics. After all, the person you are talking to may have recently had an unpleasant experience. Don't talk about anything controversial either as you won't know what your interlocutor's stand point is.
Beware the wine waiter!
While you are talking, make sure that you maintain eye contact and look interested. Don't look round the room, even if you are bored! If you are holding a drink, don't drink too quickly. And don't get drunk even if you feel you need Dutch courage! It is very easy to under-estimate how much you've had to drink if waiters are moving round the room filling glasses.
Enjoy yourself
Finally, relax! At the end of the day, meeting people should be fun. Remember that even the most confident people suffer from nerves. And the more you make the effort, the easier it gets.

Educational Testing

To talk about educational testing, we have to know about educational system in Thailand. Thailand still sticks on traditional way. Read read read and memorize memorize like a parrot. Although we try best to improve the system, it seems to be hard to change the student's habit because we were taught in that way for a long time. Some students try to change their thought and adapt into the new education system while others cannot survive in this system. To express the idea is quite to be easy to do, but to do so requires more and more practices. Not every persons can do immediately.
So, turn back to educational testing, it is easy to do multiple choice test like the old testing system in Thailand has. Why don't we try on writing style test? The answer is like I said earlier, we still get used to the old system and students like it. However, we can change our habits to do writing style exams. We have to revolt our idea. A freedom to express our idea is rights in everybody in democratic system; so why don't we use it?
Anyway,"Train of thought", this idea come into my mind thanks to John and we can know how to manage our brain so as to give an idea continuously with free writing in 5 minute.

Are you a human being?

Human beings, mammalian and warm-blooded living creature, are bipedal primates that have complex brain functions. Human beings are classified in species Homo sapiens. Their complicated brain has been developed to play an important role in abstract thinking, reasoning, language, and introspection. They are only one animal that can stand on own two legs and have spinal cord being vertical to earth’s ground. Their head can look up to the objects over their body as well.
Unlike other animals, human beings have own culture. They can invent high technology tools, such as spears, guns, computers, or even cars by using knowledge collecting for a long time. Moreover, they can transfer their wisdom to others through language invented by them. Besides, human beings are artist in themselves. They can compose songs and create own dancing style. Only human beings think that naked body is a shame and try to find clothes to prevent their body from the environment.
In final analysis, civilization can appear in human societies and only humans can destroy themselves for their own sake. Anyway, only human again can care about others that no other animals have that idea.

Magic! Believe It or Not
Holy magic, the power of gods to protect people from evils, can be used by white wizards. With this power, they can heal the state of poison, pain, illness, or death. For example, the high level of holy magic called resuscitating magic can revive people from death.
Dark magic, the power of devils from abysmal hell, can control even dead people. Normally, a user of dark magic will be called the necromancer who will take advantages from soulless body to do what he/she wants. The thousands of walking corps are dangerous because they will never die.
The power to use four basic element pertaining to fire, water, earth, and wind, will be classified as elemental magic. The sorcery who use such magic can create large size of fire, flood, earthquake, and thunder to destroy everything.
All in all, the concept of magic is still be something quite extraordinary that no one doesn't know whether it has in this world or not. This is very challenging to prove. The magic that can be proved now is only a trick that a magician entertain you. Anyway, if you can use some magics, which spell do you cast?

Lucky and Unlucky Signs
This morning, I had a good chance to interview one of my new friend, Aey, about what unlucky and lucky signs she had. She answered me with her smile that she was brought up in a chinese family which did not like her to wear black, grey, and white clothes. Even though, she liked these color, her family thought that wearing clothes in such color was a sign of dead prople and tried to persuade her to wear red or pink clothes which was a sign of wealthy and happiness instead. Furthermore, she also said that a crow was her unlucky sign too because before her grand mother died, everyone in her family saw hundreads of crows over her house. For lucky sign, she stated that a silver bracelet given by her mother always brought her to lucky situations. For example, she got some money droping on the floor, she got a good grade after praying with that bracelet, she met new boy friend after breaking up, just to name a few.
Anyway, after having discussion about this topic in the class, I found that everybody did not have the same signs. The belief on lucky and unlucky signs all around the world is different, but they also have something in common. What do you think?
